How Do One Avoid Home Foreclosure? Help I Am Losing My Home.?
Posted by: | CommentsYour mortgage company does not want to foreclose on your home. Call them and tell them your problem. (Are you looking for a new job or health problem?) They may be able to add your missed payments on to the back end of your note, or help you arrange a “short sale” or anyone of dozens of ideas.
They will be upset that you are not making your payments and may suggest some bad ideas (like making your payment using your credit card). But do talk with them if you are wanting to avoid foreclosure.
You should first try to work out something with your current mortgage company. See if they won’t refinance your loan and add the 5 months to the end. Before things get any worse, you could consider selling now. But you’re close now to the foreclosure notice. Best to contact your loan company tomorrow and try to work this out.
Will “home Affordable” Plan Help Me Avoid Foreclosure In A Divorce?
Posted by: | CommentsMy husband and I are divorcing. I am staying in the house, however, my husband will not contribute to the house payment. I cannot afford the payment on my income alone. We owe much more than the house is worth. Will the new “Home Affordable” program work for me, since I can afford 31% of my gross income? Or, will it be figured on 31% of BOTH of our incomes, since both names are on the loan?
